A free reg check is a good way to prepare for a viewing. Compare the asking price with similar listings, see how long the car has been listed and check any price drops Motorly has recorded. Those details help you decide what to ask the seller and how much room there may be to negotiate.
It is not a full history check. Pay for a full history check before you buy if you need to know about outstanding finance, a write-off or insurance-loss record, import history from the UK or Northern Ireland, or mileage you cannot confirm from the paperwork.
