Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 26 October 2026

We want everyone to be able to buy and sell a car on Motorly, including people who use a screen reader, keyboard, magnification or voice control. This statement covers the motorly.ie website and the Motorly app.

Our aim

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so we do not claim full conformance. This statement is based on our own checks.

What we already do

  • Every page has a “Skip to content” link and declares its language (English, Ireland).
  • Price badge colours are tested to reach at least 4.5:1 contrast with their background.
  • Animations are reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Car photos have text alternatives naming the car.
  • On each car’s page, the market price range is given as text figures as well as a bar.

Known limitations

  • Photo descriptions name the car (year, make and model) but do not describe what each photo shows, such as damage or condition.
  • Some charts and colour-coded maps, such as depreciation curves and the market heatmap, may not yet have a full text alternative.
  • Advert text written by sellers, and adverts from other marketplaces, can include formatting or wording we do not control.
  • Payment pages are run by Stripe, and Google or Apple sign-in pages by those companies; their accessibility is outside our control.
  • The Motorly app has been checked less thoroughly than the website.

We are working through these and will update this statement as we fix them.
